It will start working in about 15-30 minutes, peak after about 1.5-2 hours and then be completely out of your system in about 4 hours. It will vary from person to person and slightly depending where you inject it. How it works for you will largely depend on the dose, your activity and what you eat.

Novolog or NovoRapid here in Canada is a rapid acting insulin. There is no set rate to lower anyone's BS . It depends on your own body's reactions to the insulin, what you ate-some things like pasta take much longer or your activity or lack thereof. Its all subjective, and never reacts the same way twice anyway. Its a matter of trial & error. But eventually you gain some idea of how it works for you. All the best, Carol

As fair as I know and thats not much
Novalog is a slow acting insulin
But I can be rong
ask you Doc thats what I would do
