I can't believe it! I finally have a Doctor who can see that I need help. The letter states "your blood sugar was abnormal" (was 121)...say's, your glucose, while elevated, is not yet at the level of diabetes. At this point you should focus on diet and exercise. We can discuss further detail at your next appointment (9th) and a medication would be added. At this time it is borderline.
I was told that borderline is same as having diabetes, either you have it or you don't. He must have looked at all my BS levels that were recorded the past few months. With this, I am hoping he will give me a script for supplies w/the medication,so I can make sure my BS levels are OK. This letter is from just one fasting BS level, but have documented ones from 120-160 by testing myself.
I want to thank you all for helping me and making sure I stuck to it and find a Doctor who will listen, and, see what is going on.

Darlene

Good for you!!! Thanks for sharing the good news. Not that anyone wants to be a diabetic but once you are, it sure helps to have the doctor helping you as much as possible.
Hugs, Betsie

Well, the war is not over, but one battle went your way. Good luck. Hope you stay borderline. Keep your chin up and lets all hope it works out for you.

Your right, the war is not over. I am hoping he will be able to give me scripts for testing supplies, I do have insurance that will cover it. Since he is already talking medication,I would think he would want me to monitor my levels. Thank you for all your help & support Luis, your a good man.
