For me, counting carbs is the easiest. Brown rice, beans and peanut butter are inexpensive. I eat a lot of beans! |

Counting carbs is very easy. Read the label and find out how many grams of carbs are in the product. 15 g = 1 carb. Try to keep your carbs limited to 10 - 12 a day. It is easy to do even on a limited budget. Eat more veggies and fruit (canned are OK too). Keep asking questions and we are here to support you.
Moondancer replied November 6, 2009 7:34 PM Last edited 15 days ago this confuses me more. If the label says 15gr of carbs then shouldn't I count that as 15 carbs toward my total of 30 carbs allowed for that meal? |

I hear yah!! Cause its costly to add all the special things that I need on a daily to what my family already has to have. I do eat lots of fruit now, and I didn't understand the carb thing either, but now I do. We can work at this together thank goodness for friends. |
How do you plan a menu thats good for us to eat? counting carbs whats that? how do you manage on a limited income?
