mine is this Saturday January 24 ,1972 ..im going to be 37 :( lol its all good im glad to have made it to this age with all my health problems .its crazy when i was in my early 20's i tried to get life insurance and every place i tried said try back when your 40 cuz they didnt think i would make it guess i showed them hahahahaha.

My birthday was last Wednesday, Nov. 26. I turned 56. Where has the time gone. This week has been a week to really watch my food intake. Birthday, Thanksgiving, and then today, a baby shower brunch. I did pretty well about watching what I ate, but I admit to eating a little more than necessary.

Actually, I have one coming up… December 2. I was born in 1953, so I'll be 55. I've been an insulin dependent diabetic for 34 years now (I didn't celebrate my 21st birthday with a party… I celebrated with a stint in the hospital getting "adjusted", diabetic-wise, that is). No shame here. Glad to be this old with a grandchild (and another on the way), a great wife and daughter (and her family). Can't complain.

Ok here it is, The BIG 30 DOB 05/04/1978. But you know 30 is not bad at all. I've learned to take things more lightly and am starting to appreciate more simple things. The only bad is that my Nephew( who I helped deliver ) is now 14 with the deepening voice and growing a mustache. Also he's already 3 inches taller and still growing. Now that makes me feel old.

On Friday October 3 I will be 51 years old. or young however you look at it. I will be going out for Mexican food and having fajitas with no chips or tortillas. And I want to see the new movie. The Women. My daughter and I will see that and hubby will go see a horror flick. My present will be getting brakes fixed on my car. LOL

I just had the brakes done on my car and the blower to the AC/heat fan replaced. When all was done and said, I made a check out for $449.00. I hope your birthday present is just as nice.

Hi THere my birthday is December 20th 1942 I will be 66 years young. I say young because I am rasing my ninth child, I have had my grand-daughter since she was 7 days old and now she is 2 I never in my wildest dream thought I'd be rasing another child at my age but the Lord entrusted his gift to me, just in time as I was going up the walls with nothing to do in my retirement, after being so active since becoming a Mom at 16 and rasing 8 children having 13 grandchilren and 2 great-grand children . I like birthdays

hey i know what you mean im 59 and watching my one and only grandson and love it he keeps me young and forget about the depression of my diabetes, my husband and I both have it now both around late 30s got it hit us hard now and really have to watch out of control for all these years and are suffering the consequences now. hope we can make it a few more good years together, lots of changes in our lives that we are not enjoying but are still together thru the hard times i guess this is it…enjoy your grandbaby looks adorable.!! im the oldest of 8 children and only one with diabetes go figure i was the black sheep i guess all those jokes about being fat growing up and being looked down upon should have woke me up before now.

Unless your doctor's name is God, he has no idea when you will die. My husband's oncologist told him he had a life expectancy of 1 year. His throat cancer was a stage 4. That was in 1997. Then our family doctor told him he had 72 hours at best. He was dying of kidney failure, so he told hime. That was 5 years ago. Bill did die, but he did 2 weeks ago, not in 1997, not in 2003, but in August of 2008. So please ignore your doctor. He has no idea when the good Lord will come calling for you. Until then, live every day to its fullest so that when you do die, you will not regret anything. Have a great life in spite of diabetes.

I'm sorry for your lose. I lost both of my parents years ago one Dec 20,1990 and the other March 3,1997. Back in 1991 I was told I would be in a wheelchair by 1997 not there yet, it is getting harder to get around but not ready to give up yet. I wnat to see how long I can prove the Drs. wrong.LOL

I sent my printout of my numbers with Bill to work today so he can drop them off at the Drs. office on his way home no sence in wasting gas both going in that direction. The Dr. said he would look them over and get back with me. Sugar droped again this morning and was starting to black out again. I don't like it one little bit. Well getting tired so I'll go lay down for awhile. See yas soon.

Nothing is wrong with you lanore we just don't want to get to old to fast. I just truned 52 the last day of July and I thought maybe I was wrong maybe I was older than I thought.

I will be 62, born on November 26, 1946 and still can deliver 5 feet high reverse roundhouse kick pretty well.

We share the same birthday, except I was born in 1952. I don't often find someone having the same birth date as me. Happy belated Birthday!!

Back on line again, darn those Olympics LOL. You know as I look over all the answers and comments about aging, I am reminded of a continuing education class I once took. We were discussing aging (he was about 25 going on 14)so he drew a long horizontal line on the board and marked off the teens,20s, 30s about equal distance 5 inches apart, then came the 40s and 50s and he marked them off at least 12 to 18 inches apart. All us older folks were LOL and some were ROFLOL because he was soooo denying how close he was to 40. It pays off well when we can laugh at aging…especially since the alternative is sooooooo permanent. Remember Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly. Have a great week all.

Last Friday. July 11, 1946. And I had a piece of birthday cake too. And I was only 5.6 the next morning.

My gosh, you are all kids!!!, most young enough to be my kids. My birthday is 08/28/'34…I may be older than dirt! ;=) ROF and LOL. Who am I kidding if I get down on the floor it's getting harder to get up. I am always encouraged when I wake up in the morning and find my self above the grass.;=D

You ARE only as old as you feel. Being positive is a way to feel young. I am sorry so many diabetics seems to feel sentenced to complications. I do subscribe to the belief that when God sends you a trial, He will help you to grow stronger and to enjoy life more fully. Happy Birthday all. PS I tell folks I am 37, but most of them figure out that I just transpose the numbers.
