Hello!
I would contact that site that Harlan listed. One thing is that the people at this site may be able to help you get in touch with someone in your country. It is going to take some serious work on your behalf. Also contact the American Diabetes Association in the States. Contact as many diabetic help sites - that is how you find answers and help. Above all do not give up!

Akissis: This may be a little late, but here goes. I have been type 1 for ten years. I can't afford a pump either but I am not sure I would have one anyway. I use a mixture of slow and fast insulin injected twice a day. Then I eat accordingly. My A1c's are always below 6. It takes discipline but it can be done. You just have to keep trying.

Akissis, I don't know what we can do to hep from here in the United States. Here we would try contacting one of the sites listed here or in one of the other discussions re free meds or the like. Or, we might try calling the drug manufacturers. So, I think you start with the drug manufactures in Greece or the offices in Greece if the companies are elsewhere. Try the company web sites. See if there are any drug trials or even pump trials running in Greece. Contact the government in Greece or health department or what ever other services you may have. Are there free medical clinics? It is hard to know what resources you have available to you in your country. Best of luck. S2

See if OmniPod can help 1- 888-6-GETPOD or visit MyOmniPod.com. I do not use a pump. Also check "Devices" in the menu to see if there is other information that might help. Good luck. S2
