Hello, I am of the school of thought that there is nothing out there that cant be eaten as long as you take portion size into account.

Well, I cut everything in half and then cut it in half again. Or I might have a bite or two and that's it if I really like something. I constantly remind myself that if I go back to the my old way of eating that I could lose my vision. So I weigh my options. Do I want to see later in life for the food in question or do I want to stay on track and look at all of the beauty in the world like my son growing up etc? It may sound lame, but it really is mind over matter and your the only one holding the fork. Portion control is not the end of the world, although it seems like that at first. There are lots of options with food and many substitutions that one can do, to eat the treats they once liked. I'm finding foods that I like that I never really cared for before. Look at it as an oppertunity to learn something new along the lines of food choices, try different things and keep an open mind. |
