Last edited about 1 month ago This is great. I also did the WW program. I lost 30 pounds in just under a year. It also helps you to keep your BG in control. I may not know you, but I am PROUD of you, too.

During a talk with my wonderful husband last night, I had a "light bulb" moment. I was just diagnosed almost 7 weeks ago. Before that, I would eat all the time. Didn't have to be hungry, didn't care about whether it was fatty or salty or just plain junk. Since diagnosis, I have been sort of following the weight watcher's plan. I am never hungry, I don't even think about eating in the way I use to. I have come to realize that it is how I look at it now. Finding out I was diabetic scared me. But, it also changed my perception of food. It is fuel for my body, not a HOBBY! I have since lost 13 lbs and expect it to keep coming off. My Dr is thrilled and that motivates me even more.
Many thanks to all of you out there who keep writing and answering and offering help. This is a great site. Suzy
