How important is it for a t2 person to be on a low dose of asprin regime? I used to take it and when I changed pharmacies long ago, I quit taking it. I do not mind it I just want some opinions here.

I am also t2 and take one daily. when I had to go to the hospital two years ago for what turned out to be acid reflux and not a heart attack, they were saying that taking a low dose asprin is very importand and my doctor agress.

If you have not had a heart attack, pointless in my opinion. Studies seem to agree but doctors still seem to give it as blanket advice. http://www.theheart.org/article/1000611.do

Was taking for years until I was put on coumadin. You don't want to take both, your blood will thin out too much.
