The most important thing is to loose as much weight as you can and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I was gestational/insulin dependent 4 times. I was told i would develop diabetes. It's been 17 yrs and 4 kids later and i am doing well. Get blood work yearly too. |
A very good article can be seen at this link. It describes checking yourself during the postpartum time, the six weeks after your baby is born, and having the baby checked frequently as well through the well baby exams.
