I need help finding a new diabetic doc. Long story short, the one I just saw gave me an anxiety attack (he drilled me about details on my father's death and asked me to take my shirt off for examination - wtf?) and the Joslin Diabetes Center is yanking my leg. They ignored my message about my high blood sugars and only refilled one medication after my over-due doctor bill cleared the bank (I literally called them to tell them "that the check is in the mail".) Now, they're telling me that there's missing lab work and I can't get any other medicine refills until after I've had the lab work. She was supposed to call it in yesterday and never did and I'm supposed to see here on Thursday about "may giving me some insulin samples". I don't have a lot of money and if I go up to Baltimore without the lab work, the appointment is pretty much pointless! I am so lost and confused. This is only made worse by the fact that my blood sugars look like the current stock market: high's and low's. It's NEVER even and I exercise 4 miles a day and I eat the recommended 60 carbs per meal! I need to see a nutritionist but am waiting until I have money available. Been trying to keep a food long but, with my attention issues, it's damn near impossible - especially when I have to count calories, fat, and carbs!!!!
So, can anyone recommend a diabetic doctor in Maryland - someone's who's not an idiot?
