I have a precision extra that was handed down to me by a friend. So I called the manufacturer because I wanted to know how to clear the memory, well they told me that they can't do that, but that as a one time courtesy they can send me a brand new meter of my own and it came with a $5 coupon for supplies as well. Just wanted to share this.

    Yeah there are free meters out there. They will send you one so that they can sell you the strips. That is the renewable items for a meter. If you go to the onestep online site, answer a few questions, they will send you a new ultra mini. Uses same strips as a reg ultr or Ultra 2.

    I have called the comp that make the one touch and the one that makes the frrstyl lite and they both sent me free meeters

    Thanks for sharing this with us. It is always nice to know when a company does something nice for a consumer. It helps us to know what do do in the future if we have the same problem.
