Nobody but fellow diabetics know how you feel. We have all been there at one point or another. It is nice to know that there is a place we can write down what bothers us and nobody will judge us on that. And we help one another get through this.

True!! Everytime I used to TRY and communicate with our church people they would interrupt and tell me to count my blessings, others had it worse—of course I KNEW that they did, but just talking would have helped me so much—-so say what you feel and the rest of us will voice our own experiences and you can pick and choose what fits YOU! Hugs, PAT R

Actually there is a lot we can do. Diabetes is a disease that can be controlled. We can check ourselves on a regular basis and use medicine, diet, and lifestyle changes to help control our disease. People with other diseases don't have that luxury. My wife has MS and the only feedback that she gets is through MRI testing, and that isn't 100 percent certain. So remember we are not alone, and when can do something.

I feel the same way, in sharing info with this kind group! We even discuss topics that some might not consider relative, but I think that they are, suppressing anger, for example—that can be the basis for NOT wanting to comply with a carfully chosen food style, exercise, "I WILL NOT!" My own attitude for a long time!! When I see others that feel the same way, YET overcome those negative feelings, it helps me far mORE than, Oh, you shouldn't feel and act like that! Well, of course we shouldn't BUT——-I have type 2 and am now balancing my diet, exercise, learning to express myself better- and my numbers are coming down—-it took 3 years, but if I hadn't drug my feet, or fought the diagnosis so hard, it MIGHT have happened sooner, but, better late than never!!
