Good afternoon, Darly! I LOVE your winning smile! I managed to get 5 things to our local Fair this week, so am getting ready to run up and see what results I received. I know that I got a blue on a succulent plant, it had just multiplied all over itself, really neat looking, but some of the others were excellent! The Champion most unusual plant was unlike any I had ever seen and I used to make sure that I entered that class, but because of my shaky health, havent been able to/ so I was thrilled by this plant, had hanging vines with pitcher-looking things hanging UP! I just LOVE the FAIR, so much to learn, and sometimes I even get a purty ribbon! Ha-_PR

Pat Roth replied August 7, 2009 11:57 PM Where do you live? Our own Harper County Fair is getting slimmer each year as so many don't want to be bothered, and the 4-H clubs have shrunk, not many young folks on the farm like there was when our kids were young, in the 50' and 60's--but

I am very happy that when you got home you were feeling better also...keep it up girl!! I live in Ma. and just remembered that there is a huge fair every year in Topsfield. I use to go with a family friend when I was little. It is in the fall I believe. |

You know, for years I THOUGHT others hated me--(??!!) but when I went to the Fair, people that I didn't think even knew me, said "Oh, you are here? You had better be careful and not overdo!"
