I read on this site that insulin may actually increase you appitite/hunger.I'm not sure if it was John C or another member. You may want to consult with your Health Care Provider. Wishing you the best,Pete

Hello, I cant help with why you are hungry, Are you T1 or T2 insulin dependant? I know that when I went on insulin, I got alittle hungrier and noticed that I tended to want to eat more. You do know that insulin is a hormone. All I can say, is test and try a few items out and test again. See what items do what to you. You could eat more vegtables, I know, we are not cattle and and some take that approch but I find that if I am hungry, I take some carrots to dip in ranch dressing. Some zuccini and make a stir fry, Some cauliflower and drizzle some cheese sauce over it. Some green beans, bell pepers with Onions and a protein and stir fry it with a light brown sauce. Try a few of these out and then test and see how your BS are doing. Good luck. Hope these help curb your hunger. Oh, and dont foget to drink enough water to keep you hydrated.

I am a type II, on Novolog with meals and Lentas at bedtime. I try to eat healthy snacks but they don't seem to fill me up. I will keep experimenting. Thanks!
