Crumbany! I remember the years when I had to work weekends too--Best of Wishes!! I just wanted to share that I just took my BS a bit ago (5;30pm) and it was 102!!! Isn't that GREAT??!! I FINALLY am beginning to feel like I am getting a grip on those pesky numbers! I see my Dr. in Aug so hopefully my AIC will reflect my better numbers,( he never has told me what it was before it was down to 6.1, so it should be great! hope that is the way it works! When I know that others are struggling too, but are still trying, it has become easier to watch my food intake, not too complicated, just avoid white pot, for the most part, may eat 2 or 3 bites, 2 or 3 bites of meat, lettuce, yes, but dress it a bit with pickle juice or such--wrap a piece of cheese in a cucumber or lettuce, tomatoes, as our garden is now producing, mymain no-no is to cut out those occassional milk shakes,and (candy bars, substituted a low cal, or no sugar ice cream bar and a piece of sugar free candy once in awhile), so the amount is picked for me, do NOT eat that second one and consider myself lucky that I seem to get by with one!! When some can't!!!

roger replied July 23, 2009 9:48 PM start out with the dog walker,then do the 9 stations they told me fat people need .(hole body workout) and i have a hole bodyand then some. then do a mile on a vido game(bike).one mile in 3min 35 sec ok for first try i think.but i was bad did not go today . my dogs are killing me.from the hole body thing and today at the job going up and down ladder all day

I haven't been on a ladder lately, and when I garden I use a light, plastic chair and drag it around with me to water, pull weeds, get up and down too-- but, my lower back gets to aching till I can't stand erect, bent over like some old woman!! oH, I guess I am!! Sunny periods, cloudy periods, interspersed with thunder storms, like last night. WOW! I was doing the night time Lantus and had just done the BG. And one almighty crash of thunder right overhead, I must have jumped 10 feet!! I'm just glad I didn't have the pen needle in right then goodness knows what damage i could have done to myself!! Lesson for today-do not inject during thunder storms |

lipsie replied July 31, 2009 8:07 PM You may need a cortisone shot in it...sounds inflamed. Though the shots do raise sugars usually so be aware...see a orthopedic if it continues though! Good Morning, I hope all is well with everyone. Talk about a rainy night in Ga. my goodness we had thunder boomer's all night. It sounds like we're going to have more the rest of the week. You can almost see the green popping back into life! Hope everyone has a delightful day.
