Hello Everyone!
I'm sure many of you know about this already, but I didn't. I found this doing a web search and was amazed. Check it out below and tell what you think. I copied it for you.(updated by reader's help, thanks all!)

The regular home kit is $29.99 and includes 2 tests, $15 a test is not bad in my opinion. You should be able to pick them up at any Walgreens or order at walgreens.com. Not sure about other pharmacies but you could ask.

kdroberts July 3, 2009 at 8:21 pm0 LikesI highly doubt insurance would cover it. My last A1c done at the lab the insurance paid $3.32 for it. I can't see them paying 5 times more just so you can do it at home.

It must be for doctors.

It's actually much cheaper to get the test done at a lab, even the mail in A1c test's are cheaper. This is purely for convenience and home use. It's also not the only non lab A1c test available, Hemocue has one that is (from what I understand) more accurate and cheaper per test. They are only available to healthcare providers though.
