I know it is hard to lose wieght for people with Daibeties. But over the last month I have managed to lose up to four pound and a few inches.
the main thing that has helped me so much is that I am not stressing about lossing it. All I am doing is cutting down on every thing i eat. I dont eat to stuff myself any longer.
I have noticed that my appitie is better I am not hungry all the time.
These are the steps I am taking;
! i make sure I have a small nutetios breakfast. then through oout the day If i feel hungry I eat a fruit. and I am drinking alot of water and 100 percent jucies. because I noticed that Icould bun thous carbs and calories alot faster than with added sugars.
2 after every meal I give my self 15minutes becase it has been proven thatif you wait those 15 minutes you will feel fool. so you wont over eat.
3 Also dont eat too fast take you time and actuallly tase you food that also helps to fill you up.

good work on your progress, another thing that we have
done is to buy smaller plates so you don't eat to much.

As someone who has yo-yoed in weight her whole life I am one to say.....Whooo Hooo GREAT JOB!!! I'm so proud that you were able to loose some weight. Keep up the great work and it will definatley show. I lost 124lbs then gained back 30, now down another 9lbs. I keep trying even when it's so very frustrating. One tip that I found worked the best was to keep yourself hydrated. Thirst can mask itself as hunger. If you are feeling hungry try drinking a glass of water first. If the hunger is still there after 10-15 minutes you are hungry. Try eating a snack if not close to a mealtime. I found that 9 times out of 10 those "hunger pains" were really thirst triggers. Another plus with this is that you have lower blood sugars if you are fully hydrated. Good Luck!

Wow that is wonderful, now I have found that eating yogurt at least once a day helps me as well. I eat a cup of plain yogurt with musilic (sp?) and 1/4 c of some kind of berry and 1T of raw honey. this is my spring to fall breakfast. it really seems to help me curb the hunger later in the morning.
do any of you have snacks daily?? what do you have???

Ani replied July 15, 2009 9:45 PM

I do snack in betwwen meals. When I do Aeat fruit like; a small apple, grapes, cherries, and sometimes just plain Cherrios, the cereal. Also to cut my cravings for sweats I have one tale spoon of peanutbutter, or sugarfree gum.

Ani, I have to ask you, what does the 100% fruit juice do to your blood sugars?

I understand that you are looking for calories that are easy to burn, but 100% fruit juice is what most diabetics use to treat a low blood sugar because it raises blood sugar so rapidly. Is your body able to handle the fruit juice without it sending your blood sugar off the charts?

Ani replied July 23, 2009 9:48 PM

Actuall, 100% juices dont spike up my sugar levels off the charts. and since I am actually watching everything i eat, and am actually excersising, just a little, I burn it off very fast.

today I am happy to say I have lost over 20 pounds and three inches. I dont think many people realize that when you are constanly stressing out you seem to were youself out. which ends up causing many people to gain weigth. I managed to drop so much weight in a few months just by getting rid of my stess. Also by not giving up my favorite foods but by eating what I want, however, in small porportions. I make sure to not over eat.
