I thought I saw a discussion on the test strips here some where. I am tired of looking. I want to know what it was about. A friend just gave me a new one that has never been opened until I did last night. I thought it was working just fine. Apparently it isn't I don't know if it the meter or the strips. I tested at 7:30 am. I took my meds. then 2 hours later tested. It read the same. I waited an hour it tested the same. I tested before lunch it would only give me Error. I tried again Error I tried two more times. I rewashed used a different site. I finally gave up. I poked myself 8 times. I reread every possible piece of paper that came in the box. I am positive I am using it correctly. I left it a lone. I asked a friend over to make sure I was using it correctly. She was a doctors asistant at a clinic. She is on maturnity leave. She said I was using it right. So I was trying to find the discussion I thought I saw here, but didn't have time tocheck out. I don't know how to tag this either. Help please.

I found what I was looking for. Sorry I am frustrated and tired. I will call the help line number I found in the morning.. Sorry I brought up something not really important.

If your meter is not working, it is VERY important. That is something you don't want to mess around with. Never feel your posts are not needed.

I had to call my meter company one time and it turned out that while the meter was made by the same company as my old one, my older test strips didn't work in it. I was so bummed. Glad you got what you needed.

Thanks for the advice. I have never used a FreeStyle Freedom meter before. I was so happy to get this. I haven't had a meter in almost a year that works. I was begining to think I was an idiot cause it wouldn't work after the one time. I can test from almost any where on my body with this one. I hope they can help me figure out what is wrong. I am praying it is just the strips. Again thanks for replying.

I called about my meter. They are not sure why it is not working. I am to send it to them and they will look at it. Either repair it or send a new one. Just wanted to update everyone.

We all need reassurance at times--especially when we don't feel well,need to know something and feel like giving up looking for some pertinent information. I am also having trouble learning how to contact specific individuals to "chat" with--I am not a computer know-it-all-
I read where Dede is having trouble, don't know how to reach her, but Hang In there! Take a deep breath, and know that you are NOT alone.
I am also battling exhaustion from a break down, can function a little better, but it is so slow, it is easy to get more depressed-but thinking positive, like I am beginning to with this group, You all are really helping my low self esteem--- Paroth

may be the meter needs to change batries or the strips not for the same tipe of your meter .. check these steps and I hope it works regards

I took the meter to the pharmacy. They messed with it and then called the manufacture help line. I am to send it to them and they will see what is wrong. If it is fix able then they will fix it. If not they will send a new one. In the mean time my doctor prescribed a new one and I am using it without any problems. I am very happy. Thank you for your suggestions.

Enough, 4th and final discussion I will look at with this sell and looking at products. It has nothing to do with this discussion and I feel you have a discussion here on your own and that should tell the friends there. Alot of friends are on here with questions for help and don't want to keep looking up this website. I will not continue to use this site if it is turning to wanting to sell products and waste my time look up discussion and everyone having the same answer by you.

Again, are you a salesman? There is such a thing as"paid advertisemant". It would be different, if you had a comment to make. Just sounds like selling to me!

Hi Celia,

I use a Freedom Lite as well. I think I read something and saw on TV that some of the test strips were giving false lows. highs or errors. I haven't had a problem with mine so far. I don't remember the batch numbers though. Hope you get some answers soon.

Please, don't apoliagize for your concern about your testing supplies! There is no concern, that is too big or too small! Hope everything works out well for you.
