Hello just wanted to let you know you are not alone. I am hungry all the time. I 'am trying so hard to loose weight. It is very common to gain weight when you first start and also hard to loose it. I can't really explain the scientific reason but there is one. Try not to let it get you down. Watch the c
carbs they will make you more hungry, good luck.

Hi TLJ and welcome to DC. I am on insulin only and have not gained any weight and my appetite has stayed about the same as before being diagnosed in December.

There could be many reasons for your hunger, but you are right, many people gain weight on insulin. Rather than write a long post, I have found an article that explains what you might have been experiencing.

A good idea would be to keep a food diary and on your next doctor visit show it to hime when you explain your hunger. He can best help you adjust.
