Last edited 7 months ago that is a hard one to answer,I myself am a Happy Diabetic,so to answer your question I would have to say feeling bad about not feeling bad cause I have Diabetes,I try to look for the good in the bad,so i have diabetes it has gotten me to lose weight,I stop drinking soda which got by BG levels down,I walk instead of drivingto the store down the road,I even got a good color back in my skin and the Best part of all is having this site full of freinds and on May 11, it will be one good year of being a Diabetic I am a Type 2
markjohn1 replied April 24, 2009 8:10 PM I am really glad to hear this. The reason I am asking is we are working on a larger project called Change The World...Global Diabetic Awareness. It is about finding and helping the personal side of diabetics. Everyone seems to be into awareness about finances, test strips and other drug related problems that the personal side falls through the cracks. So that is the aim of our world wide project
bigjrm45 replied April 24, 2009 8:27 PM I am one of the lucky ones ,I have all my meds. paid for with just a small co-pay I was not thinking of it on a global diabetic awareness thing just on a self awareness, and I also know that being a diabetic is not healty choice to have ,but I do so if I want to live better I know I have to work to get there and so for it is working for me. |

Hello Mark,
Lisa Ann replied April 24, 2009 7:38 PM I feel like you some days. I do really good for a few days then I just drop the ball and eat whatever I want. Just like I don't care what's going on inside my body. I try to do good for the sake of my children and the rest of my family and friends. I'm glad I found this site most everyone and everything is encouraging me.
markjohn1 replied April 24, 2009 8:11 PM Thanks. This is a small part of the larger project called Change The World...Global Diabetic Awareness A way to get personal with diabetics throughout the world. We have made some great inroads and we are just trying to be helpful to do what we can do for all diabetics.
markjohn1 replied April 24, 2009 8:29 PM After that scare tactic I ran to the shower to check everything for the day 100% accounted for , so far. I am getting a new hip though in 5 weeks. That doesn't count because it is because of playing hockey for years. at least that was what they said. LOL |

I feel sort of unmotivated in a lot of areas.
markjohn1 replied April 28, 2009 4:12 AM That I understand coming from back east, Boston area. I also had an Aunt who lived in Newport Vermont so I used to spend my summers there.

Okay as some of you know and some do not I worked for years as an Investment Banker prior to getting involved in all of this. While doing that I wrote and taught motivation to many groups.
When I was diagnosed with diabetes I started working to turn that program around to help diabetics make the best of their lives. I have been doing that now through our communities and the radio shows nightly.
What I thought I would do also in this community as I have done for others is pose the question that is the title of this article and probably the book that will come from all of this one day.
Where Is Motivation Lacking In Your Life Today?
I would really appreciate you thinking about that statement and responding so I can add my comments and in some cases maybe help and in others at least give an opinion.
Thanks for taking the time to think and write.
Mark
