I'm glad to hear you got your insurance. That is a great relief for you, I'm sure. However, we would prefer you alive rather than dead. We would miss you. Besides, I can't talk to the dead. I would be to afraid they would talk back to me, and then where would I be? lol I know it's not a laughing matter, but I try to see the lighter side of LIFE. |

I'm lucky too. I get a free 25k policy as standard and I pay something like $8 a month for an extra 100k. I also get a 30k policy via my wifes employer for a nominal amount. No medicals, nothing excluded. The buying power of group insurance really is powerful.

I love my job.
My company just offered me addtional life insurance.
A 200k policy that they will pay the premiums on, but I will pay the taxes on the premiums as if it were income. Not bad, a policy for the cost of the taxes.
Last year I was turned down for this additonal insurance policy for being diabetic. They company who held the policies would not insure me. So I turned down the offer from our HR person.
They contacted me again and said they went with a new company, a new policy holders and that they couldnt turn me down for pre-existing conditions. SO now I am worth more dead than alive. Please, dont anyone tell my wife.
LOL.
