Has anyone bought the Prevention Guide Called Outsmart Diabetes? The title article is "yes you can! Reverse Diabetes with Food" Bought it to see what they had to say. We know diabetes cant be reversed but can somtimes be controled by T2's with proper diet and exercise. They are also touting the DTOUR Diet. Anyone have any input on this diet?

I am intersrested. I have never heard of this diet before. Like you said, you cannot reverse diabetes, but you certainly can live with a lot fewer issues if your levels are in control. I achieved a lot thru just diet and exercise, and I want to do more. So I am curious about what you have here.

Ok, The website is WWW.DTOUR.COM/Startnow this is a special offer for the book. Magazine has the usual ads for ADA, A website 24/7@prevention.com for up to date diabetes information and advice. or they should say, one location for information and advice. Does have free DVDs offer, WWW.prevention.com/walkYogaDVDoffer for 2 free DVD for Yoga and walking off weight. That might be good. An article on explaining what diabetes is and the differenet types. DTOUR is a high fiber calorie counting diet. Eat eery 3 hours. Bla bla bla bla bla. What we hear every time we look at a diet. Some exersize regimes. Move more. set weight goals. has a meal plan for this diet. Cooking recepies. Some of them look tasty. The Top sirloin with baked potato and Asparagus, Im going to try out. The coocnut rice pudding with raspberries also look good. One of the things I find interesting is on the back page. its a scale that has mirrors so you can look at the bottoms of your feet. Not bad idea. From a company called Insight. Light magified marrors.

Hey Sarg,

I got this last week at the checkout stand and I agree with you. The exercise routines don't look too hard except I don't have any weights around the house. I may give them a try anyhow and use some cans or something or just try without the weights.

I haven't tried the diet and not sure I can. The thought of eating every three hours is just a bit much for me.
