LadyDi replied February 4, 2009 2:06 PM Unfortunately it's brutal here in Atlanta as well, altho you northerners would probably laugh at that. In single digits, taking wind chill into consideration. Painful! Very sick of it!
LadyDi replied February 4, 2009 2:07 PM Last edited 9 months ago Maybe we need a Diabetic Connect convention or something in Hawaii!!
NormaJean replied February 4, 2009 9:31 PM Diane the weather there now is like Fall here in NorthEast Ohio..lol...the wind chill now is about -11 deg.....BRRRRR....how about a Convention in Florida? it's closer...lol
Deleted User 12427 replied February 5, 2009 3:13 PM Florida may not be the best either. Last night they were suppose to be in a deep freeze, low's in the low 20's. Might as well stay where I am, here in WV. LOL
LadyDi replied February 5, 2009 3:51 PM You're right. They're getting it too! Think we're experiencing GLOBAL FREEZING!
Deleted User 12427 replied February 5, 2009 5:05 PM Yeah. Someone needs to talk with Al Gore and find out just when the "warming" starts!!!!
highlandcitygirl replied February 5, 2009 5:08 PM i was thinking the same thing yesterday, as i cleaned the ice crystals out of my nostrels!
Deleted User 12427 replied February 5, 2009 5:15 PM LOL Unfortunately, the deep freeze may mean a raise in price in oranges, grapefruits, and other produce we depend on getting from Florida. More frugal spending on our part, again!!!
highlandcitygirl replied February 5, 2009 5:19 PM be like my mother, during the depression, rice and tomatoes and steal the rabbits that the cat has killed and brought home!

I live on the Oregon Coast.
sparkysmom replied February 6, 2009 1:52 AM I am originally from Gresham Or.Went to college originally in Mt Hood Or. I'm an AF Brat but call Portland home to this day.
Pauline B replied February 6, 2009 5:30 AM My kids graduated from Reynolds High School and my first job was at Davis School in that district. Do you mean Mt Hood CC?
sparkysmom replied February 6, 2009 4:17 PM Went to Mt Hood CC and transferred to North Dakota State
Pauline B replied February 6, 2009 4:22 PM In my years of living in Alaska I called myself a transplanted Oregonian, and as I graduated from Oregon State University, am really out of place up here in Dawg and Cougar land wearing my brigh orange colors. I went to Medford High School, but a Portland grade school, and after marrying the first time, lived most of my life in Portland.
sparkysmom replied February 7, 2009 1:32 AM Last edited 9 months ago Such a small world! I went to Jr High and High school in Klamath Falls,OR When most of my friends were dreaming of running away to Hollywood, I ran away to Fairbanks, AK. I spent 2 years living in my friend's cabin 50 miles N of Fairbanks. I lOVED it but after 2 years got sick and sick and Alaska in 1970s didn't go well together. I came back to the lower 48 to be around Drs. I always dreamed of going back but as usual life got in the way.
Pauline B replied February 7, 2009 4:48 PM My husband lived in Fairbanks and Anchorage, and I've lived in Sitka, Juneau, and Anchorage, but we didn't meet until we both retired to Seattle. Yes, until the pipeline was finished Fairbanks was rough... Alaska was rough. I (we) miss it, but I keep in touch by having the Anchorage paper delived daily via the web. And we all know the current current governor....
sparkysmom replied February 7, 2009 9:27 PM I still keep up with the Iditarod as much as possible too. |

Hi, I thought I would ask where everyone lives, not the town just the state, I thought it would be interesting to see where we all are and maybe be surprised by how many of us reside in the same states.
