Anti-Flu Vegetables and Fruit

Sometimes a flu shot will work and sometimes it does not. Some people are not able to take the shot due to certain health related issues. Foods that contain a powerful antioxidant called quercetin will incease your chances of avoiding the flu. They are apples, blueberries, broccoli, spinach, lettuce and onions. Cooking these foods can make quercetin more easily absorbed.

    Most of those are vegetables and fruit that I actually like! I take the flu shot every year but you can never be too careful with so many differents types of flu! Thank you for the information! Angie
