I was reading the Reader's Digest today. They have good health related issues all over the tiny book. One thing I read I never heard of is that people 60 years and older that blindness can be caused by a condition called wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD). It is a chronic condition.
But some people can develop it very quickly. The early symptoms include wavy lines, hazy vision, and bluriness. Doctors or specialists who treat this condition specialize in treating diseases in the back of the eye, such as macular degneration and diabetic eye diseases. The information was provided by The American of Retina Specialists and Genentech.
