Christmas Day 2008

A minister tells the story of preaching at a church back in the hills, where all the people were poor and the potbellied stove in the sanctuary leaked black smoke. But as the hymns on Christmas Day were sung, he noticed one radiant little girl dancing in the aisle. After the service, he asked her why she was dancing. She smiled and said, “There are no presents at our house. So this is all the Christmas I get.”

Or as one very wise woman said, “You can celebrate Christmas with a 50 cent candle and compassion.”

Don’t let the wrapping paper hide the manger. Christ was born to save. Christ was born for you.

With Jesus all things are possible.
