I forgot another favorite. Nuts, peanuts, walnuts, pecans, sunflower seeds. I keep a box on my desk and tend to nibble a lot, maybe a little too much. But I do love my nuts!

My wife says that I must have been a squirrel in my previous life(LOL). I eat all kinds of nuts for snacks. I tend to stay away from cashews and peanuts though since they have a tendency to push my numbers up.

I also like cheese, all kinds except cottage. Again cottage cheese seems to raise the numbers.

I also like ham or roast beef as a snack.

Fruit, crackers, cheesed crackers; apples, bananas, oranges. All natural fruits. I pack these for my husbands lunch.

Since I became a member of this site, I have started to branch out in the snack department. In the recipe section, I found some very good low carb snack ideas and have tried many of them. When I am really hungry and need to stay very low carb, I slice a dill pickle very thin, slice some cheese very very thin, cut some lunch meat lean ham or turkey into small squares and put all this and some pork skinds on a plate. I add some mustard on the side and use the pork skins like a cracker. I dip the concoction in the mustard. lol Well, you asked. I admit I sometimes eat strange things. lol

cashews and apples. non salted cashews when ever possible. the nuts are good protien and the apples are good fiber. if I need a shot of carbs that are crunchy, I will have a cup of cereal like cheerios or oatmeal.

I like to drink a bottle of that new V8 Fusion. I get all of my daily fruits and vegetables in one tasty drink. When used in conjunction with a balanced diet, I get all of the vitamins and trace minerals I need for maintaining a healthy life. I think if you try it you'll be very happily surprised with the good taste.
