Yes,go to a dermatologist. Mine cleared it up very quickly. Your feet are very important esp being a diabetic. You cannot do this on your own. Hope your skin under toenail heals well xxoo

Good thing that you caught it on time, especially since you were feeling no pain. A perfect example of why we have to watch our feet. Hopefully your podiatrist will help you to eliminate the infection quickly. Wishing you the best!

Ouch! That is good that you found out. My nails get yellow with a fungus, but I have never had them turn to colors like a bruise. Did he say how you got an infection like that under your nail? Or is the podiatrist going to do that?

he has more or less left it up to the podiatrist but at least I have not got a long wait to see her

I had something similar happen to me and it was because I had let my big toe nail get a little too long and was doing a lot of stop and go movement in tennis shoes. He said that is what contributed to it. No issues, it grew out. But I was glad to have it checked. That happened before I had diabetes, so now I would be on top of it.

you have to make sure dry your under your toes real good and sometimes our feet sweat may cause that to. But I hope it's not nothing real bad,it maybe just dry blood.

I would have it checked out. Our feet are so susceptible to infections and slow healing times. I don't mess around when it comes to my tootsies.

Nothing like it! I'm glad that cooperated with you. You have had a rough summer, I hope the fall is good to you also.

Have it checked out. Sometimes bruioses start out as red areas from pressure. Check your shoes to make sure there's nothing there that will cause a pressure point. But do go check it out.

Hey Tassie, if your bruse is getting bigger I would get it checked out at the doctor being diabetic you have to watch for changes in your feet. Anything untoward needs to be reported ASAP. Better to be safe than sorry girl. How are things going with you health wise apart from your feet, and what's wee smelly bum up to (no i'm not talking about Terry am talking about the four legged one) hahaha

I am ok at the moment, too busy to think about my health probs with smelly bum and Terry. She is so much fun that I just have a great big smile on my face. Terry has to have a small op and boy is he whinging. How are things your way? I will get my feet looked at asap thanks for the advice

cavie2, I hope you know that I expected you would see humor with the coo joke. I never expected anything else. Initially, I was totally unaware of what was going down. If you thought I was a bit clumsy with my comment, it was totally unintentional on my part. I would never say anything to intentionally offend you or anyone else for that matter. I enjoy being kind & helpful, and I think it's ok to loosen up with an occasional joke that doesn't offend. That's is the only reason I am here!!!

Hey Al, my sense of humour is very dry and can often be mistaken for sarcasm. But you jumped in with your comment at just the right time and NO offense was taken I assure you. I knew very well you were only joking. You obviously have not read any comment on previous conversations I have had with either Jim Edwards or jaybee52 (James) we used to throw insults at each other (well not exactly insults, more like cheeky comments). The problem with the written word is you cannot hear the tone of voice used or the facial expression or body language and we can often take exception to what someone says because of the lack of all those elements. But trust me I took it as a joke because I knew that was how it was intended, especially after I replied to your comment about "can a coo see" ☺☺☺

That will never happen Tassie, you're too nice a person to be nasty. Will be thinking about you on the 16th and hoping everything goes ok for you. Will send up prayers as usual. Think positive and say: "I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy. THIS IS A FACT" LOL Gerie ☺☺☺
