My husband's insurance covers his membership to a gym. Unfortunately, they won't cover me as his helper. He is in a wheelchair and needs assistance getting on and off the equipment…that was kind of a bummer, specially since the one guy he talked to over the phone said it would. We are still working on how to do that, so I can get in more than just walking. I really want access to the pool.

Now see that would make sense now wouldnt it, but that would be too easy. In most cases a gym membership is considered a luxury, not a necessaty. Well with insurance companies I mean, we all know different. It just goes to show that preventing or helping is not on the list of priorities…but amazing last resort meds are given out like candy. Weird HUH…

I know, and for the price of one months worth of meds, most of us can get a whole year of a gym…what a bunch of bunk! They need to understand prevention much better.
