I'm headed west tomorrow... !! I'm in Wisconsin and going to California for my son's wedding next weekend. I won't be panning for gold but I'll be enjoying the ocean and the redwoods!! A week off of work and a week with them is going to be wonderful.. I'll have my laptop with me so you may still hear from me from time to time.. :)

YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS A KID I LIVED IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ON THE TRINITY RIVER IN LEWISTON CA AN BUNCH OF US WOULD GO OUT IN THE SUMMER AN PAN AN DIG FOR GOLD, MADE OUR OWN SLUSEBOX AN DAMMED UP THE CREEK AN DID THAT FOR A MONTH OR SO EVER YEAR TILL I WENT IN THE SERVICE. AT THAT TIME GOLD WAS 36 BUCKS A OZ. ANYWAY HAVE FUN, I KNOW WHAT FUN IT CAN BE.... |

That sounds like so much fun. I did a little panning in Daholonega Ga. Many yeare ago. Didn't find much. Hope you have better luck.Enjoy and know you will be missed. |

I will be going West to pan for Gold again this winter. Will sell some to as the prices have jumped!
Hoping I can walk or hike with new hips? I go out with a Buddie, and a Mule so I can carry my Diabetes Equipment. Have a Pump this year!
