I don't receive it, at least not that I know of. I would like to see articles about how to get past this diagnosis emotionally-I just can't get past what has been done to me. Also practical solutions to losing weight while on insulin. Another problem getting rid of thhat lat 25 pounds. I eat right, exercise and still can't lose it. any information on adult-onset type 1. Keep up the good work. Carol |

Honestly, I get it but rarely read it.
John Crowley replied October 8, 2008 9:36 AM Oh, sure. After all my hard work :-)
kdroberts replied October 8, 2008 9:45 AM The reasons I don't really read it are because I've usually read the the discussions listed or decided not to read them, I'm not a huge fan of 99% of the recipes that get posted and I'm not interested in the offers or advertisements. If there was a way to unsubscribe I probably would, I just haven't looked into it yet. |

I looked through my inbox; the last time a received the newsletter was June 16.
John Crowley replied October 8, 2008 2:47 PM Clearly, we have issues. If this group that represents some of our most active users, isn't receiving the newsletter, I've got some work to do on our system.
AaronS replied May 26, 2009 9:12 PM John, I still haven't been receiving this newsletter. I haven't recevied it in almost a year (last one I received was June 2008).

John,
John Crowley replied October 10, 2008 7:35 AM So, one thing to try is adding members@alliancehealth.com to your address book. Then if the problem is that your email provider has been blocking our messages, they should start coming through again.
momoftype1 replied October 12, 2008 10:28 AM I added it and am now getting the notifications again. I have not received the newsletter though, and I did get them before.

John,
John Crowley replied October 9, 2008 8:57 AM Everyone who joins the site should automatically start getting the newsletter (of course with the option to opt-out anytime if you don't want it).
vgarrison replied October 9, 2008 9:00 AM Oh no I want it, but I have not recieved it as of yet....
Anonymous replied October 9, 2008 9:07 AM I have never received it either. I do have Aol and will only have mail sent to AOL so I guess that means I will never get it. Since there are problems with AOL. |

Edie replied October 11, 2008 6:04 PM Thankyou I am doing well tonite. I have ate nothing but salads today and thank the good Lord the bathroom is next door to this room. and my numbers for the day as I didn't check them all day out running the roads as Bill says. @ 8:32 tonite it is 137
vgarrison replied October 11, 2008 6:22 PM WTG Edie!!!!!!!!!! Mine 2 hours after dinner were 120...lowest yet!! we both deserve a pat on the back....
Edie replied October 11, 2008 6:36 PM Check out what I did today and then laugh your head off I did when I stoped to realize what I forgot to check today and all the salads I've eaten. I post everyday or atleast the next morning for the nite before if I don't get it done on time, under Exercise and Diet #2 now we also have #1 on here to keep track of how we are doing. Between the heat today and the salads I almost live in the bathroom today. Getting cleaned out that is for sure. I wonder how much weight I'll lose this way. LOL
vgarrison replied October 11, 2008 6:55 PM Edie,
Gabby replied October 11, 2008 8:30 PM It must be something in the air, because we are all enjoying great numbers. I also had my lowest ever reading today and have kept my numbers below 180 all day. Could it be karma??
vgarrison replied October 11, 2008 8:59 PM Yeah Gabby,
teddybearcub replied October 12, 2008 11:30 AM I know the feeling Edie, I have only been able to check one time a day the last two days also. Meals have been so messed up so haven't been able to check it after supper, since it's not been two hours after eating before going to bed. But my a.m. sugars have been 102 and 100 yeah.

I have been receiving it, and enjoy it. But don't need/want the recipes. Just my input. |
Good morning everyone. I have been working on this week's Diabetic Connect Newsletter. Our team here tries hard to pull together information that will be helpful to you. It might be something you missed. It might be a hot discussion topic that you want to weigh in on. Or the latest recipe that has been added.
I was wondering if you all could give me some feedback about the newsletter.
Do you receive it?
Is it helpful to you?
What would you like it to include?
What don't you like about it?
Please weigh in and let me know what you think of it. We'd like to make it the best newsletter out there.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you'd like to receive the email, please add members@alliancehealth.com and Customerservice@alliancehealth.messages2.com to your address book. That will help us with some of the blocking issues we've had.
Also, if you haven't been receiving the newsletter, please send me your email address to my inbox. I will double check it against our email list to make sure you're on the list to receive it.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. Anyone have additional suggestions for improving the newsletter?
