Like "It's probably not fair for me to comment here (as it's my son not me who has to do the testing). But when he was newly diagnosed, sometimes I would prick my finger too to show my support. And I know for a fact that you can learn to find those spots that are less sensitive. For example, the side of most people's fingertip is less sensitive than the pad or the center of the fingertip. Have him experiment with different fingers and different spots. Not that he'll ever learn to "love" pricking his finger. But doing it in the most sensitive spots just makes it that much worse."
