Like "It's not as cut and dry as it may seem but I guess the answer is no, as long as you are thinking about the traditional view of the military and enlisting. Most of the non-combat jobs are now done by civilian contractors and they don't have the same restrictions that combat positions have. So, if you are thinking it would be cool to fly the B-2 bomber/work on an aircraft carrier/be an army ranger/etc then the answer is no. However, if you are looking at engineering improvements to a B-2 bomber/designing computer systems for an aircraft carrier/working on specialized optics for the rangers/etc then the answer is probably yes."
