Like "This is not an easy question for us as we still have young kids at home. Sometimes it just seems easier to serve them what they like than to have a nightly battle. But what has worked best for us has been to try to modify our favorites in healthy ways. Like a typical summer meal might have been bbq'd hamburgers with tater tots. Over the years we've substituted veggie burgers for the beef, whole wheat buns for the buns, and a healthy green salad for the tater tots. It's not a perfect way to go, but we've had some success and the kids haven't complained ... too much :-)"
