There are so many recipes sites on the internet now and most can be searched to help you avoid those recipes with fish or mushrooms. A lot of the recipe sites also give nutritional content. The more I study recipes and cooking and cooking techniques I am convinced that "diabetic recipes" are really those foods prepared with low fat, higher fiber, limited carbohydrates and little or no refined carbohydrates.
