Like "I too am on Lantus and Humulin R. However, I feel kind of stupid because I never know how much of the R to take. It is on a slide, but I don't think I'm using the slide properly. Last night I had supper at 8:00 PM. I tested at 11:00 PM and my BS were 411. I don't think I've ever been that high. So I took 36 units of Lantus (as prescribed) and also took 20 units of the Humulin R. Well don't need to tell you that it was too much R. I woke up with BS of 42. The only reason I woke up is because the phone rang. Now I'm worried because I live alone and I suddenly realize that if I go into a diabetic coma, nobody will know perhaps for days. My daughter calls me everyday, but if I don't answer the phone, she won't worry about it, she'll think I'm out or something. I just called my doctor's office and told him of my BS episode, I'm waiting to see if he'll call me back. I hope I'm a little more lucky that you Becky. I feel a little paranoid. "
