Like "Very well said. I completely understand the rage, disbelief and depression when first diagnosed. I recall going through a period where I was afraid to eat. It's now been almost three years later. I don't take medication for diabetes and have "normal" BG. I watch what I eat extremely carefully and make sure to exercise (yoga, the gym, walking). I have learned what works for me and what doesn't. The best advice that I have is to test frequently; accept your feelings but don't believe everything that you think. You can do more for yourself than you currently think that you can. Lots of people here are very supportive. Be sure to only take medical advice from a medical professional, no matter how well intentioned your virtual peers may be. Everything is new and scary at first. In time it is neither.
