Like "Lilly's organic GMO free chocolate! Expensive, but 1 bar lasts me a week or so. I Love Chocolate!! So a couple little squares of that usually helps me through my sweet Craving. You can treat yourself once in a while. I eat ice cream occasionally. 1/4 cup and I make sure I bolus for it. I don't eat sugar free because I don't want the chemical sweeteners. That is just my personal choice. I use small amounts of stevia to sweeten my coffee etc. some people have side effects from stevia but I use it sparingly and I don't have a problem with it. Ive been told by my health care team that I can eat anything I want as long as I cover the carbs with insulin. I choose not to over indulge. I keep my carb intake between 20 and 30 per meal. Again that is my personal choice and it works well for me. :-) You will eventually find your rhythm, the routine that works for you.
