Like "That certainly has to make things even more difficult for you. If you don't mind me interjecting here, and please know this is just ME, I've learned the following: I test when I get up in the morning & two hours after each meal. "Normal" glucose levels are typically between 120-140. For my morning meal, I aim for 3 servings of carbs, 1 of protein & 1-2 of fat. For lunch, 3 servings of carbs, 2-3 of protein, 1-2 of fat & all the "free" veggies...like broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, etc. For supper it's the same as lunch, but protein is 2-3 servings. Then 2 snacks with 1 carb each time. If I test & see something really makes my bg go up, I try to cut back on that food or avoid it. I know you'll follow your doctor's advice, but I thought this might help a little. "
