Like "I am a type II since 1989. Taking the meds and watching diet and weight hasn't been a problem; but the complications, even though mine have not been totally debilitating so far; have put severe limits on me that I thought I would never experience. I hate the fact that I have had to resort to using a cane, cannot walk more than a block at a time, all from neuropathy. Realizing that my limitations are mild compared to what other people are enduring are what keeps me going and remind me that i am one of the "lucky" ones."
