Like "I am a T1 also and can drop quickly while working out so depending on my numbers I will have a snack with some protein and carbs if I need to raise my BG reading. A good snack for me is 1/2 apple with peanut butter or some nuts! I love to hike, but haven't in a while because of the drops, can't figure out how to keep my BG from dropping too much even with a snack!"
