I pretty much decide what I want to eat based on what I know I tolerate ... don't really even count carbs anymore cause I've been doing this for years now ... and then, if I'm in a weightloss mode, I will also check a calorie counter for the raw foods going into the recipe. I'm a rather spontaneous cook, so my recipes are rarely the same two times in a row; so, I usually recompute. If I had something I always did the same, I'd do a calorie count for a serving and just keep a record of it."
