Like "I was told by my doctor a while back that as long as I do my best to keep my sugars within range the occasional slip won't hurt. At the time I might feel like I am failing but I just take a bit more insulin and things are good again. Of course, this does not mean to over do it and compensate with insulin. I have been there and trust me, that just makes a mess of things. If you have a strong will then only eat what you know you should and skip on the rest. My will isn't so strong and I have asked doctors and dietitians many times and they are all very understanding and offering advice on how to help. But still they have all told me that the occasional slip won't ruin everything."
