Like "Wow, I was diagnosed Type 2 14 months ago. I too noticed that my lower legs stopped growing hair for the most part and are smooth like a babies skin. When I mentioned to my dr. that this was at least one positive outcome of diabetes (for a woman at least!!), she said that diabetes had nothing to do with it and that it was more attributed to aging. I was only 54 at the time. So now it appears that she was wrong. For me, I had sporadic intense pain in my feet, especially the right foot before my diagnosis. Since changing my awful previous lifestyle and diet I have not had any neuropathy foot pain to speak of. As much as I wish I did not have this disease, I am grateful because I feel as though I have been given a second chance. It has been a tremendous wake-up call for me, and slowly but surely am making positive changes that I would not probably have done otherwise. I have discovered the wonders of Ezekiel bread and also cereal. I microwave the cereal with some almond milk at 1 carb per 8 oz cup, you have to read labels, all almond milk is not the same. This is a very nutritious and high fiber hot cereal. Already you are on the right track....investigating for yourself what are the healthiest choices. Good luck and god bless!"
