Like "When I was growing up dad used to compain that when he met mom, she used to burn a pot of plain water. He said she couldn't cook like him after all, because he was a chef in the Army during WWII. By the time I came along I thought mom was a great cook. I loved having beef stew made with fresh vegatables, and simmering all day long. I also liked Sunday dinners, which was always meatballs and spaghetti. When we occasionally went to restaurants I would compare the food to mom's home cooked meals."
