Like "I'm so sorry to read that you're having problems. I was just diagnosed this past March. I don't claim to know everything about this disease but I do know that we have to watch our intake of carbohydrates. That is what raises blood sugar. You can look up the number of carbs in any food by finding a free carb counter online. Or if you sign up at the Atkins diet website they'll send you a free carb counter booklet. I'm not saying that you have to follow that plan but it's one way of getting a free carb counter. Mostly it's sugar and flour that have the largest amount of carbs. Like pasta, bread, etc. Some fruit are higher in carbs. Berries are usually the lower ones. Protein and good fats will help you feel more satisfied. Eggs are good and cheese, peanut butter, lean meats, are low in carbs and relatively cheap. All things in moderation. And exercise works wonders. I've learned that from experience. You CAN do this! Diabetes doesn't have to win. We can be in charge of this with a lifestyle change and some determination. "
