Like "I am a novice Type II. I have worked with a dr. who helps me with what I eat and should not eat. I saw a book and read a article that agrees. It makes me feel good when other "experts" agree with the choices I'm making. Ex: sugar, whole wheat, OJ, "low fat" foods, pasta, cereals, crackers interfere with absorption in the intestine. Processed foods hurt the liver because they are harder to break down. Use only 1 ingredient foods. Use them in combination. Don't be hungry as quality not calories is the need of the body. Try sprouted grain bread, rice flour, spelt, quinoa, sweet potatoes (never white), fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables. Avoid hydrogenated oils, canola oil, soy, margarine, substitute butter, and high fructose corn syrup. Use real butter, whole eggs, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil, avocados, and raw nuts. Using only real food is less restrictive. One doesn't have to buy supplements or bars."
