Like "I have been diabetic for 47 years. I started wearing glasses the first year and have gradually progressed to trifocals. I've also had 13 laser surgeries for retinopathy. Thankfully I haven't needed that treatment for about 6 years. I've also had vitreous hemmorhage and surgery for that. So, I treasure my eyes. I see my opthalmologist for a dilated eye exam at least once a year and more if I see "floaters". Going blind has probably always been my biggest fear as a diabetic. We so need to watch our A1C and control as best we can. God Bless! Brenda"
