Ingredients
  • 1 1/3 c all purpose flour

  • 1/4 c sugar

  • 1 tsp ground ginger

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 c water

  • 1/3 c full flavor molasses

  • 2 egg whites

  • 3 tbsp butter melted

Directions
  1. Preheat ovean to 350. Lightly coat 8x8x2 inch baking pan with cooking spray and dust with flour. In large bowl combine 1 1/2 c flour and next 6 ingredients. Add the water, molasses, egg whites and melted butter. Beat on low to medium speed until combined. Beat on high speed for 2 minutes.

  2. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool cake in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove pan. Serve warm. (Frozen light wipped dessert topping optional)
