Hawaiian Breakfast Wraps

These low-carb Hawaiian Breakfast Wraps will have you dreaming of the islands all morning. The chopped pineapple is what makes these wraps a real treat!

  • 6 eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk or water

  • 1/4 cup chopped ham

  • 1/4 cup chopped DOLE(R), Red or Green Bell Pepper

  • 2 tablespoons margarine

  • 1 can (8 oz.) DOLE Crushed Pineapple, drained

  • 4 (8-inch) flour tortillas

  1. Prep: 15 min. Beat together eggs and milk in medium bowl, until blended. Set aside.Cook ham and bell pepper in hot margarine over medium heat in large skillet, until ham is lightly browned and vegetables are tender-crisp. Stir in egg mixture and pineapple. Scramble until desired doneness, stirring constantly.Evenly divide egg mixture onto flour tortillas. Roll sides up. Serve with watermelon wedges and lime slice, if desired. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.

I would use 3 eggs and 3/4 cup egg whites and I would use a low carb high fiber wrap or an artisan wrap that his low carb. I would never use a flour tortilla. You might be able to have two instead of just one for the same calories, carbs, etc. . Other than that I think it sounds really good.

This sounds really good. But PLEASE DO NOT call it Hawaiian just because it uses ham and pineapple. The ONLY item in this recipe at might be from Hawai'i is the Pineapple. Too many Dishes have been called Hawaiian just because of the use of ham; most times it's Canadian ham and pineapple.
